Introducing the BOSS SP-202 / Dr.Sample a small but powerful sampler. The SP-202 has front panel pads that trigger samples and has the ability to store your own uniquely recordeed sounds. As you can will come to notice, a Tap tempo button allows you to control the tempo or BPM (beats per minute) of a sample in realtime, you can then adjust the tempo precisely with the "up" and "down" cursors which are displayed on-screen. The SP-202 is also the first sampler with realtime time-stretching, so no more waiting around for numbers to be crunched to get your loop to that new tempo. Just press the Time button and dial up the new tempo you want your loop to play at. It's that simple! Long sampling times are possible with up to 32 seconds of high-quality sampling, or up to 4 minutes 20 seconds of LO-FI sampling. A total of 6 effects are built in, most noteably including the time stretch function that changes the tempo without affecting the pitch, two types of filters, a ring modulator which is even more effective when used for voice sampling.
